SHIATSU ISABELLE WIDMER
What is Shiatsu
The word Shiatsu comes from Japanese and means finger pressure.
Based on traditional Chinese medicine, Shiatsu is a Japanese form of body therapy. During treatment the therapist/practitioner focuses on maintaining the balance of body and soul and may also include the use of flowing stretches and gentle rotations of the limbs and joints, simple structural alignments, stretches and muscle release techniques. This supports the self-healing process and regeneration process. Shiatsu is excellent for general health maintenance and as a preventative therapy.
During the Shiatsu appointment, the client is fully clothed, and treatment usually takes place on a futon on the floor.
